Hey guys I hopefully will be starting my car tonight for the first time. If you haven't seen my build thread it's a 306 w/ Gt40p heads and explorer intake, 24lb Injectors, Pro-M Mass Air calibrated for 24lb injectors and in fender air intake, TFS stg 1 cam, and 70mm throttle body. I am really just curious how it is gonna run before I get it tuned. From what I can find it is gonna be a little rich but just wanted to ask you guys that have done this before. Figured I would drive it around for the remainder of the year and tune it this spring, but wanted to see how drivable it is before a tune. So if anyone has any input that will be helpful I would appreciate it........... I am really nervous/anxious and am just googling everything about new engine startups and potential problems. So I apologize if this is a stupid question.

Let us know how it goes...it will probably run even better with a tune on the 94/95 ECM.

Yea I figured it would. I was just trying to get a feel for how it will probably run before a tune. I hope it doesn't runs smooth enough to drive until spring time when i plan on getting it tuned. Me and Jesse got the car to the point were we just need to turn the key. Woulda started last night but the guy that built my motor who is a good friend was not able to make it. He had some family obligations lol. So outta respect I waited.
I had the same setup on my car with no tune. I ran really good at full throttle but mid throttle and idle surged. Yes it was rich also.

Hey guys update I got the car running and it seems to run pretty good after we got the timing set and what not. I haven't had it out on the road yet, but it does idle surge a bit, and I switched out the Idle Air Control Valve, and it got a little better for a bit, and then I pulled the car out of the garage to turn it around and pull it in and change the oil and then the idle started surging. My little brother went and wiggled the connector for the IAC and the idle leveled out to 900rpm just like that. So I might need a new clip idk, it is a little loose. I will probably drive it this weekend, woulda brought it out sooner but been working late this week and it's pretty much dark by the time I get off work. I have video, but I just gotta upload it.
