Just read an article in Hot Rod about counterfeit parts....
MSD 6al, Flowmaster, ARP bolts, aeromotive ...... what the Hell...
Most sold on ebay, the msd box looks almost exact like mine, except they all have the same serial number...
Be careful out there!!!

The fake MSD 6 boxes have been known about for some time. MSD found out about them when someone sent one to them for a warranty claim fix. They opened it up and saw that the guts were not theirs.

The fake ARP bolts/fasteners have been around for awhile. Tons of EBay sellers advertise rods, etc with "ARP bolts" but their really cheap Chinese fasteners.

Like Eagle rods????
Yep. A buddy have 1.4 autocross runs when a rod came apart and windowed the block.
Another person and a rod cap come come apart at 3000 rpm on out lap at Mid Ohio.
This is why you buy your parts through reputable shops who buy them direct or from a reputable distributor.
There's a reason why the shit on eBay is so cheap. You get what you pay for.
Personally, I'd even be hesitant to buy parts from Amazon.
