As the title states... after I get up to about 70-80 MPH my car starts to vibrate.... and continues to until I get back down below 70...... im pretty sure it still does it even if im not giving it gas....... its kind of scary... don't know if its in the rear-end, or drive shaft..... or tires not balanced.... any opinions from experience?

See if the dogbone is still on this car,u joints, or tranny mount check those and let us know what you find.

It could be wheel balance/bent wheel possibly..check u-joints for wear/slop and mount for lose/wore out rubber could be missing possibly.Just couple things to try and narrow it down.

Feel it in your seat or in the steering wheel? IF steering wheel its up front. If in seat its in the back as a rule. Check the items mentioned. IF no luck have wheels checked for balance and/or belt separation in tire.

I'd check and make sure all the tires are balanced out I'd think if it was a u joint it would do it above a certain rpm and not speed

I had the exact same issue in my 88 and it ended up being the ring and pinion.

IF you just bought them chances are it is a balance issue. I bought a set of GT500 wheels with tires a few years back. PUt them on and above 60 had a bad shimmy. Then I remembered that the car they came off of had pressure sensors and that these sensors were swapped over to the new rims. The next day I took them to have them balanced and sure enough the balance was whack. Drove like a newcar after that. Hope its nothign worse for you.

Always start with the basics first, balance the tires for sure , I manage a tire dealer and that's the number one problem. Second I had a vibration in the rear end as well before and it ended up being that when a certain place installed my new ring and pinion it wasn't set up right and only vibrated at higher speeds.
