I believe that is in the works, now. They also lowered the late fee for tags, to $10 (from $20) and extended the grace period from 7 days to 30.

And sales taxes are increasing and taxes on the wealthy are decreasing. All this is doable because of the cuts they've made to Local Government and Schools. Sorry I'll get off my Kaisch rant :lol:

IMO 6 month license suspension would get the point across along with a $500 fine max penalty. Felony in the event the action results in accident involving fatality. There is no doubt this is a major problem. Laws are in place currently but not being enforced. Less worry about seatbelts and more emphasis on texting and driving.
I've been nearly broadsided in Wasabi by a barely 20 somethin', diz textin' in her subcompact on Cross County. Never even heard my horn blowing though everyone else did. I had to go to the grass median to avoid the collision.
