Hot Rod Power Tour 2013

4000 cars signed up, probably 2,000 long Haulers, that do the entire trip. (like me)
Every gas station, Motel, etc. has Hot Rods in them. Friendly car people everywhere.

Just got home tonight. We did Memphis to Charlotte. Had a blast as always....this is my third power tour.

Oh yes..it did great. No problems at all, never even opened the hood.

I have changed out the gears to 3:55's and fixed the outer door handles. Other than that I have just been having a blast with the SSP.

No, we didn't make it downtown that evening. We went there early afternoon Tuesday on the way back from Graceland. Did the Gibson guitar tour & Mud Island.

My friend was on it,with a 66 impala,had problems with his rear brakes ended up having a engine fire in memphis.He managed to get it home to nashville, traded it for his 70 gto and headed to alabama with it, came back home that night. He got ready to head to Chattanooga the tire blew out in while he standing by the car. So he grabbed his daughters red 86, took the rest of the way,and on his way back from carolina the passenger side glass dropped and busted in the door.
Saturday morning he sent me a pic of a silver ssp car from frankfort,and was asking if I knew it. I guess it must of been yours.

Yea, I bet it was mine. There were lots of newer Mustangs this year, but very few foxes.

It was hot and humid.... Car was hot couple hundred miles etc. 588rwhp was the best of 2. The fuel looked good... after the run at the track in Memphis I was a little worried. Course the trunk was full, backseat full, grandson in car, street tires, and another hot evening.
