Over the past few months, my friends and I have been rebuilding my 2000 ZX2 S/R. Just thought I'd share the progress with ya guys. (1st pic)This is what she used to look like more than 7 years ago. (2nd pic)This is what she looked like after sitting in the barn for 7 years. (3rd & 4th pic)A couple of pics during the rebuilding and adding a turbo.

These are some more pics of the work going on, she's not finished and she will be getting Plastidipped once she's back going completely. and I'm hoping Brandon Alsept will be doing the tuning on it, but I'm waiting to hear back from him.

Thank you, at some point I'll put up a complete mods list. But the big things are SVT Focus engine swap and t3/t4 turbo.

Any real issues that you have ran into? Built trans? What kind boost/power level you trying get out of it?

Well back when we originally did the swap we had some issues with wiring. We were the first to do a swap in the zx2 body, but since we did it, quite a few have been done and wiring was figured out. It's a stock zx2 trans with 8-1/2lb flywheel and ACT 2800 clutch along with a phantom grip LSD conversion that actually is completely locked in so there is no one wheel peel. the intention right now is to run 10psi and hopefully crack 300hp at the wheels but since the combo has never been done like this one, we'll see.

I had a ZX2, one of my favorite beaters for sure.

I definitely like them. I've owned at least one since 1999. 2 of them being the s/r package.

Hmm, thought I'd get some more comments on this. I know its not a Mustang, but it's still a Ford.

I had one as well that had 200k+ miles, but literally didn't have a single thing wrong with it. Paint was faded to hell, but drove perfect and got killer gas mileage.
