I have the 94 Cobra with the stroked 347. It has a new Pro Billet MSD Distributor. With this newer distributor, can I adjust the timing by loosing the hold down clamp and turning it clockwise for advancing and vice-versa like the old distributors? Or is a ecm /tuning / progrmmer issue now? If I can advance it what degree is a good # for street driving and drag racing. Hove you all have a Super-Fantastic Day!

Yes...you set timing with it just like a stock distributer. If you have a tune/chip in the stock computer..then set it where it was with that. If you run 93 pump gas....14* initial is usually a pretty good start....stock is 10*. Your motor may want more...may want less..just depends. Something you have play with either on the dyno or at the track.
