5.0 and 5.1L strokers are common. With a sleeved block or a boss block you can do the same without increasing the stroke or you can do a 5.3L.

You can get into the 350 cubic inch with a 4.6 based block with a lot of money in custom parts. Most common are big bore strokers which get you in the 320-325 range.

Whats the application your looking at and what are the goals for the car?

Oh and stay away from MMR unless you like to spend money twice.

Just never had any luck with any customer that had there stuff, nor have I been impressed with any of there work I have saw. When you have in my opinion the best engine builder there is less than a hour away I just don't see going elsewhere.

Who would that be? I may be in the market soon!

I ended up going with a Livernois BB Stoker using an Iron 5.0 Block

Tony Bischoff and the guys at BES. They are hands down the best company I have ever dealt with on engines and will never go anywhere else.

He is a badass with any piston engine. I agree with Brandon but two of the best are local. Add Barker Machine and Fab to the list.

Brenspeed makes both a B302 and a B326 stroker.
Hope this helps.

Because im curious, why are you wanting to go stroker with it? What are the goals or plans with the engine and whats it going into?

Do any of these shops offer "crate" motors. I need a 5.0 based motor for my 90 Kenny Brown LX. I'm not looking for anyting crazy and expensive. Just a nice streetable motor.

What kind of horsepower you looking to make? If your just wanting something simple may want to look at a FRPP Crate engine.

I'd like around 400 na. The car came from Kenny Brown with an old sn93 or sn95 blower which I would eventually like to reinstall. It's my understanding they only did about 5lbs.

No crate engines. But he will spec everything out for exactly what you are looking to do. His pricing is reasonable and he is fast.

BES did my Edelbrock Glidden Victor 2s, Barker is machining and assembling the long block. Look at the local outlaw stuff Barker or BES in anything near the top of the field:bigthumb

Yeah Barker just did Raz's New motor and i picked up his old one and the 85. May get it done this year to run some 8.5 myself. I haven't heard anything bad about him.
