Get a Honda. And something without a clutch and nothing with a drive belt. Trust me... You'll thank me later

I had a Suzuki Ozark 250 for my pit bike. Used it for about 5 years with no issues. It can pull the car if needed too. You should be able to score one for $1500 ~ 2000.

A gas golf cart is nice to have at the track. Money well spent and a lot more room than a 4 wheeler.

I would deff go with an automatic clutch . I owned a kawasaki bayou 250 for a few years, beat the dog snot out of it on a daily basis with no major troubles.

I've had a used honda recon 200 for the last 2 years. Has worked well for me..pulls my car when needed just fine. I fit it sideways in front of my car in my 24' trailer. I'd like to upgrade to a gas golf cart this year...easier to haul 3 people around on...just not sure if I can find one short enough to fit in my trailer with the car.

Quadzilla motor in a lt250r frame. I'd say go honda, one of the most reliable and usaully wins the 4x4 atv shootout in most of the magazines.

So this is a legit question
Just out of curiousity why is everyone stuck on hondas? Ive raced quads for 5 years now I have a suzuki 400 stroked to a 493 on methenol with a wheelie bar I leave around 11g everytime on a stock clutch with no issues,I also have a suzuki quadzilla that I race both bikes have been great.I know he's not looking for a race quad just something to ride.was just curious to why its just hondas.suzuki and yamaha make good bikes just my 2 cents.thanks

Most are a little under 8 feet long as long as you do not have a rear seat or at least no foot rest.

I Run a 03 Kawasaki kfx 400 and a 2005 ltz 400, other than maintanence and what I want to upgrade I have no complaints. Reliable and fun to beat the dog snot out of. I like any atv as long as its not a Chinese pos, I have one of those too for my son to learn on and im constantly adjusting the carb and messing with it, but I want to make sure hes serious about riding before I drop 2k plus on a name brand

Honda Recon. They're small, but more than adequate power for running around the pits. They're also basically indestructible, and you're more likely to find one that hasn't been beat to death in the woods than with the bigger quads.

The Kawasaki Bayou is nice too, but you can't beat the build quality on the Hondas.

Asking why people like Honda is like asking why the sky is blue.

Good answer bahaha thats like saying fords the best just cause

A clear cloudless day-time sky is blue because molecules in the air scatter blue light from the sun more than they scatter red light. When we look towards the sun at sunset, we see red and orange colours because the blue light has been scattered out and away from the line of sight.

Went back and saw chuck, a demo 420 was around 5k in a 4wd, the 2wd was still over 4I

I looked at the 250 Honda manual button shift, they were 3500, he had a 300, a new model, I think it was a kawa, but he said its made in Taiwan or somewhere and was a little concerned about longevity, it was full auto and 3500 as well

Beechmont doesn't sell new Kawasakis, they're Honda and Yamaha.

Whatever you buy, get one from the Big Four (Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki or Yamaha) or Polaris. Any of those and you'll be fine. Don't get one of the off-brand Taiwan or Chinese imports. No parts network, questionable (at best) reliability and horrible build quality.

Then it was a yamaha, but chuck said it is built in taiwan. It's a new model for them this year.

just looked it up, its a grizzly 300

If it's from Yamaha, I wouldn't be too concerned about the build quality. Honda's been building a ton of their lower cost bikes in Taiwan and SE Asia for decades.

If nothing else, and quality issues would be sorted out with the warranty in the first year you own it.

i drove it a few times today, chuck dropped it off, its a 300 with a cvt trans, has a high and low gear ratio as well

non FI though, so you have to mess with the choke, this is how these things end up

i watched a review on the 300, and they made note of the fact that the engine didn't say "yamaha" anywhere on it

he's got some 420 ranchers, that are around 5100, 4wd, fuel injected, etc..

if i'm buying something new, it seems like 4wd would be good for resale, chuck said that market is pretty good for resale down the road as well with something like the 420....
