I had a 91 EXT. Cab Toyota, used to wheel in Middletown, Miami Valley Four Wheelers club, and a few of them in the group go to Harlan KY. a couple times a year. Harlan is awesome.

331lx you need to contact Todd down at Shotgun fab. He is local here in northern KY and usually has at least one chassis already fabbed on hand. I bet it would be a ton cheaper to buy one of his already welded up. He can custom build to suit your needs as far as size/engine/transmission or whatever you need. If you want to talk to him about it you can reach him at 859-567-1117. If you want to see some of his work youtube todd puckett crash and you will see what his chassis will handle. He had one of the worst crashes last year and yet walked away and is even still using the same chassis. He has also run King of the Hammers so he knows what he is doing.

I don't wheel too much. It seems most places around here are off limits, however I do luv my TJ it's the 5th Jeep I've owned.

I own some property. A couple guys from SBZ have been over riding the past couple years. I too have a samurai that's not in the best operational shape, due to a hole in the side of the block, but she made it back to the barn lol. Also have a banshee, bayou, a 4 seater UTV, and a couple dirt bikes. Just cleared out a 5 acre tract for a moto X track. Everybody is welcome, pm me if your interested in riding. We usually have 5-15 riders on summer weekends. Also have a campsite for the all nighters.

I couldn't ever sell the sammi. It's part of the family around here. That thing made most of my trails along with my old rail buggy. It's put some high dollar rigs to shame on some hill climbs here. Do you have any spare motors?

Hey 92stang I wouldn't mind helping with the track if you need any. I need to break in my 450 right :)

I got out of drag racing about 6 years ago and have been offroading since. I started with a lifted Cherokee Classic then wheeled a TJ for a few years. Last winter I started building a full tube buggy after becoming good friends with Todd (the guy Kenny mentioned above). I took the buggy out for the first time last weekend. Still have some tuning to do but it's pretty much done. It has a Brodix headed, Holley steathram injected 406 SBC/700R4/Atlas 4.3 drivetrain. Sits on 40" Sticky Maxxis Creepy Crawlers. With 450+ hp and only about 3700 lbs it should be alot of fun.

Cherokees are so much fun. My daily driver is an 87 with the Renix I6 motor and the d44 in the rear.

Its a rolling torture test for Kennys Powder Coating. Kenny Powder coated the front fenders, the full rear corner armor, all 7 control arms, Engine and Transfer case skids. I can tell you that the powder coating is holding up very well even after bending the one fender a little and some pin stripes from trees. The skid plates and controls arms are holding up great with some rock rash. It cleans up great with the big dog pressure washer on full tilt.

Is that a Smittybilt rear bumper and tire carrier. It looks the same as the one I have. Any issues opening and closing it? It seems to wanna sag quite abit with 35s on it.

Id like to but Im not real sure what all there is I can do to it. This would be the first one I done. My 98 is just my daily driver.

I ended up wanting to go about 6" I put on a MORE 1" body lift and went through DPG Offroad for the suspension lift. Mainly because as I did research on all the major companies I couldn't get consistant good reviews on thier springs. I wanted to use OME springs but of course they only offer 2" lifts, DPG offers thier own lift kits utilizing Cherokee OME springs. They know thier stuff and custom order the springs to your rig. I think I could still go 37s with no problem. My big concern now is breaking driveshafts, gears and a shitload of wandering in my lane. Other wise the TJ rides smooth, no wobble etc.

There are infinite possibilities, just depends on how big your wallet is
Do you know what rear end it has? The newer models usually came with Chrysler 8.25's or Dana 35's. If you have the the Chrysler axle then you should be good to wheel with tires up to 33's without bending the tubes that hold the axle shafts. The 35 has a reputation as a ticking time bomb when you run larger tires. Your front axle should be good to run 33's as well, they came from the factory with bigger u-joints than earlier models. If you go with larger tires then you need a bigger lift kit and it all goes downhill from there lol
Cherokeeforum.com has quiet a few write ups for just about everything, and most of the people on there are friendly and knowledgeable.

Hows that thing on road, I just drove mine for the first time in a couple weeks and it is just all over the place. The steering just seems excessively fast, I've had it looked at twice and nobody can find a problem. It may be from my PSC steering pump not sure.

Tracks straight as an arrow and handles pretty damn good even with detroit lockers
