I don't think I started a project thread on this car yet but here are a couple of pics.

Tomorrow, I have to pick it up and take it to Stainless Works for a 3" over the axle exaust with cutouts. They are supposed to have it for 2-3 weeks then back for tuning.

I can't fn wait.

That engine is a work of art!

It is, Jeff did a hell of a job. I had him close all the holes in the engine bay, smooth everyting down and repaint it before they even started. Most of the brake lines and wiring are in the fenderwells. I had him tuck the LS coils up under the intake so you can't see them. It is about as clean as it gets.

Man I really don't know, I'm not sure if we'll run out of injectors especially if we tune it on E85. I put 90s in it to start, I'm also not sure how much boost were gonna get out of the V7.

I'm hoping for around 1k with a little nitrous. I hope I can at least get 800.

I have a vid, but I'm not gonna post it. The thing has open headers and is absolutely louder than my 521 BB. It's so loud I couldn't get the vid to sound like anything other than noise.

I dropped it off at Stainless works and got to drive it about 50ft. Pretty damn exciting.

Now some one buy my AB so I can pay for this thing.

Nice ride :bigthumb, which one are you bringing out to QSL on the 24th? :D

I'm still 0 for 3 on having a Mach1 running. I won't have this one back for at least 4-6 more weeks. My daughters DSG is still down with PATS issues and the AB is in a basket.

Plus I'm supposed to have chassis cert on the 24th at KK.

Well the car is finally getting tuned, Monday Jeff started in on it and ran into a couple issues he had to work on. Then a little later Wed I believe he started to make some bigger pulls. Unfortunately just before 6k the car is loosing fuel pressure so were looking into bigger injectors and swapping fuel pumps. Right now we have 80lb injectors (I already had and wanted to use as a starting point) and are running an Aeromotive A1000 pump. Running E85 it just isn't keeping the pressure up.

Well we are at 715 at 6500 but running out of fuel and thats with the cutouts closed. Hopefully we will get new injectors and a pump in a few days and can get back in it by the middle of next week. We're looking at an Aero Eliminator pump and a set of ID1000s or possibly 2000s. I hate to spend all the money for the 2000 injectors but there isn't a shit ton of injector left with the 1000s.

I'm trying to get a couple of vids up but Photobucket doesn't appreciate me.

Get the Magnafuel 750... You will thank me later! I went the Eliminator route before and this magnafuel pump is night and day better!

Ill have to take a look at them when I get home. The main thing with the eliminator is that I can yank out the a1000 and put in the eliminator w/o changing anything except a hose.

Here are a few, I don't really have any good ones right now. The car is alittle more complete now. The exhaust is on and it's pretty well buttoned up except for the shaker and hood which I will do as soon as I get it home.

Thanks, I'm really interested to see where the weight ends up. I tried to get it as light as possible without loosing windows, stereo and a couple other things. I did use a Ford Racing 5 litre iron block for stability so I took out a few things to compensate for it.

This car is going to be mainly street toy/show car. I can't afford to replace the motor again, once it's done, it's done.

If you run the Eliminator on the street you will need to buy their voltage regulator too. That's why the Magnafuel is a better peice IMO...there are quite a few others on here that will agree as well. Even with the regulator on mine the entire time, it failed after a few thousand miles. Just a thought!

Thanks for the input, I talked to the guy tuning my car and he is looking into them. He also let me know that some of thier pumps have internal bypass systems built in to send the excess fuel strait back to the tank.

At this point I want it done right and reliable, but I also want it back ASAP, it's been almost two years.

Well, I finally got my car back today. It dynoed at 750 around 7k, it wouldn't climb any more because of belt slip. All that said and done we took it out for a short test run in Lancaster/Carroll area and the car is fucking awesome. The car is completely streetable, it handles well, runs smooth an never went above 197 degrees. One thing I did notice is that when you get on it a little the water temp actually drops about 5-10 deg. Is that because of the E85?

I just have a few issues, a fuel leak, one leaking valve cover, chin spoiler, shaker and hood. It's gonna be a great summer. :flipoff:

Are you running a coated pulley on the blower? It'll help with the belt slip a lot.

I haven't heard of coated pulleys? Eventually I'll be checking in to a cog system. We converted the car to two belts so I just need to change the Crank and the blower pullies and we should be cool. I'm gonna run the car as is for now.

I'll get some videos up as soon as I get this fuel leak fixed, I have to work all day today and probably till next weekend and then it's my daughters birthday next weekend. Who knows when I'll get to it. This E85R is stinking up my whole house, damn this stuff stinks.

This isn't coated, but it'll help with slip:
http://www.lethalperformance.com/reichard-racing-96-04-mustang-ultra-grip-sc-pulley-vortech.html

The coated ones are carbide coated standard or Reichard pullies - the carbide gives a higher friction coeffecient, so the belt can't slip as much.
