Im still slow at running and working to get faster, but Im happy with my sub 30 mins in 3 miles.

Next run is another 5k on the 17th, hopefully its as cold so I can wear this again.

I know you're on the wagon, but you better have drank some Bock following the run. Otherwise it's a sin.

Congrats! Half the people I know have started running in the last couple of years. On a side note, I love that sweatshirt, we need to do a reprint on those!

Congrats bro, I still have my hoodie like that. I just never wear it due to the bikers. Keep up the running. I need to get into shape myself.

These kind of runs look like a blast, but I have already paid/registered for a couple Tri-Athalons later in summer. I would hate to twist something in the mud. Anything in the fall?

Yes it is! Ive raised almost $500 and Im looking forward to it. I finished 38/46 in my age group, 10:18 mile. So hopefully I can tweak that and get the full 5k under 30. I crossed the 3 mile mark in less than 30 mins, now just some more work to get my goal.

Thanks again for the words of encouragment everyone.:)

There are several trail races throughout the year . Most arent muddy but in the early spring everywheres muddy . Check out the dirt days trail series on runningtime.net or topo adventures also has some cool races .

Yea it does get addicting and running shoes and entry fees are a lot cheaper than heads up racing was .

You can do it Craig, just keep running and training. I had a buddy push me the last time I ran a 5k and because of that I was able to get under my goal of 30 minutes. Good luck!

I use to run Cross Country back in high school, I need to get back out there with you Craig. Running through the woods is a great adventure and is always different.

Ran the 5k at the Heart Mini. Did anyone else run this? They messed up on the turn point and it ended up being about a 4 mile run instead of 3.1 miles.
