Look all I realize this is more or less nonsense but I need some quick help. Tomorrow I need to make a decision and I want help from you guys. I can keep my camaro ss or not finish with the purchase and pick up a 6 speed 2006 corvette with just under 20,000 miles. Its more of a base vette but its very clean. Heres a pic. I know its not a ford and its not going to be. Its between these two so I am sorry. I wouldnt even waste your time with it but I am in between on it. The camaro is very nice and plenty fast and the corvette is also nice and real fast. Camaro is a higher payment by @80 dollars or so.

I thought so too but according to nada the value is higher on the camaro but only by @ 2000. and its a 2012. Vette is still retail in the 31000 range. I know that doesnt mean squat but I am able to get to vette for 23 to 24,000. The camaro is more around 31,000

The C6 for sure, then sell/trade the C5 towards a nice usable daily. The C6 will feel and perform worlds ahead of your '97, and the Camaros just don't do anything for me and would be a pain in the ass to daily with the lack of vision.

The Corvette is nicer, faster, cheaper, gets more looks and I believe will hold its value better. It's probably already at its low point for the next few years. The Corvettes seem to drop a certain price range then stay there for a couple years. Base C5s stay at 10-15, C5Z is 18-22, base C6 is 25-30 and C6Z is 35-40. The C7 may change that a bit, but I think with a clean low mile car it'll hold pretty steady.

You know how I feel about it. Like I said on FB, you'll have way more fun in that car than you would in the Camaro, IMO. They're a blast to drive and look 10x better, very slick looking cars when lowered on stock bolts.

It was def a smooth car. Best factory mustang to date made. Just not me.
