I have a radioshack pro 106. Can anyone on here help with programming. PLEASEOh boy.... I bought a Pro 106 as soon as they came out last year. Had nothing but trouble with it and ended up taking it back to Radio Shack. Something in the DPS chip was all fugged up. Got nothing but garble on P25 digital frequencies.
RadioReference.com is a gold mine of information on the Scanning hobby. :bigthumb

There are a couple newsgroups specific to the Pro 106. I actually still get emails from them.

RadioReference has On-line streaming databases of many, many agencies. Meaning, you can use your PC, laptop to hear radio traffic. Check it out...

You can also download scanning APPS for your Smartphone! Works great BTW! :bigthumb
There is a local guy (Springboro) that is one of the top scanner experts in the country. He (and others) host a monthly gathering for scanner enthusiasts. Here's his website....

I tell you what is a REAL BLAST while using Scanners! Go listen to the Blue Angles or the Thunderbirds when they're in the area! I take (2) scanners when I go. You get to listen to "The Air Boss" (lead pilot in the Diamond formation) and with the other scanner I listen to the SOLO pilots. It gives one a totally different perspective while watching them perform! They are singing and carrying on (in a extremely disciplined manner of course!). Very entertaining to listen to!
BTW, I also have a scanner For Sale... Pro 107. I have to get pics and ads and posted on CL.
