Anyone know how to remove the chrome off these ?

Why not buy these? They are teh same brand and $10 cheaper. Already black and likely easier to paint if you are trying to color match.

I shoulda just spent the extra $40. :lol:

Try soaking them in brake fluid. They did this on musclecar and it worked great!

im no painter but that just seems like it would cause issues when it comes time to paint?

You should be able to scotchbrite them and get paint to stick. Rough them up until the shine is very minimal and put good primer on them. You may need to put flex agent in the paint since they are ABS and could potentially flex when installing too. If you are planning on rattle canning them I would also recommend scotchbrite and then either trim paint or Duplicolor Engine enamel. It acts as a great trim paint also. Just my .02
