Had a little fender bender... Has side damage on the driver all the way back to the rear with the worst damage on the front. Went up on a curb and the other side front fender is hanging down a bit. Door is jacked up a bit too and mirror is scraped. Theres other damage. I dont really want to type it all out. Headlight is a bit tight too. May be some other damage on the side and wheels I havent seen. Its dark so I can tell. The color it lt carmine red metallic. Who in here has a body shop or can recommend one. I have progressive insurance. Needs to be a legit shop either around lebanon or batavia. PM me or post up. I can get it done at work but I would rather see if I can give some business to someone on here. Heres a pic just cause.... This is just the fender.

I was at an intersection behind someone at a red light. The woman in front of me didnt have a signal on so I got next to her on the right and waited for traffic to clear and started to make my turn. I am guessing while I was along side of her she decided she was going to turn. So when I went so did she and she ran up the side and I went onto a big curb. She was a nice lady and so was her family but she said she had her signal on and clearly she didnt. BUT It wasnt a turning lane so I got sited and was told I was at fault. Shit happens and I told the officer clearly I wouldnt get along side of her if she would have had her signal on but it is what it is. I was against rules for driving in marked lanes. It was not a turning lane and I was there. Shit happens and as long as the person in front of me doesnt have their signal on I will do it again....

It does suck and the 140 dollar ticket bites as does the 500 dollar deductible. If 640 of you would like to donate a dollar each that would be great... lol

I figure Ill get the check for the estimate and get to haggling.

I dont really have a problem with wyler and I will prob get an estimate tomorow from them but I am really wanting to get a few estimates and haggle down the price so I can get around the deductible. Its only 500 and I know people will want to compete for the work. We will see. If I can support someone here and give them a little work I would rather do that. Its a rare color for the car and its an older car so I want it done right. Theres going to be a good bit of paint and body work and I want it to match.

Looking at it I would think fix it. But I dont know how expensive repairs and paint cost. That and this color was only used on the 97 and maybe 98 so I dont know how that plays into it. Wasnt that many in this color.

Hate to see that. Might be closer to being totaled than you think, there's very little aftermarket body panels for them and the GM parts are crazy expensive. We did an '01 Z06 when I worked at the local GM dealership and it was a passenger fender, inner fender, and door (because of a tiny crack at the leading edge) and I remember the estimate was astronomical because of it all being GM parts. The good thing is though, if it's totaled, you can buy it back cheap and do pretty well parting it out or selling it as a swap/kit car donor.

Well it looks like Bruce will get some more work. I had a guy turn left in front of me as I was going through a green light. 45 to 0 in 5 ft sucks.

I believe the front area was painted once before. The carfax was clean and everything looked good but there is some overspray from something. But with it being a 1997 I would think it has been in some sort of fender bender before. Carfax doesnt mean a thing except making sure its not a branded title. lol
