Anyone put up a smaller pole style garage lately? Trying to get an idea what a 20x24 would run me less the pad, and less electric. Something thtat looks more like a structure and less like a steel barn. Thanks.

I just built my garage its 24+36 with 12' walls on a block foundation and concrete floor, has 4 9+7 garage doors 2 windows and a side entry door. Did all of it myself and families help, had 13,200 in materials. Of coarse urs is smaller and shorter walls be cheaper but hopefully this gives u tje idea

Thanks. Any fancier and I would have asked you to let me move into it. Would like to get a better idea on pole style however. Not looking to invest that much in my current property. May be looking to relocate in the near future.

Redfire there is a lot of pole barn builders out my way herr in Indiana, some of the better names are mike white construction and gossman pole buildings, they will give u a price over the phone but for a garage like ur looking for could b had pole barn style for <6k and then add ur concrete and electric. My dad has his own construction business so I somewhat keep up on the market prices

Thanks. I would love to support my fellow Hoosiers but being I currently live in Ohio it would not benefit them to quote me since they would not likely be able to be competitive due to the drive distance and size of project or rather lack thereof. I will speak to some pole builders in the area I reside. Just wanted to get a rough idea before I go bothering people for quotes. Thanks this was a great help.

$13k is doing that garage dirt cheap, I believe you will hard pressed to have any structure erected for much less than that. I'm getting ready to do a 38x34 and i'm hoping to keep it under $70k

Very true. I have been getting quotes to do a 40x60 at the golf course and they are all $40,000+ with me doing all the dirt work , electrical and concrete. I hope to be under $75,000 out the door. We won't even talk about the 60x90 with 14 foot walls quote I got from Morton for my house

It helps when ur dad gets everything at cost from 84 lumber cuz he has dealt with them for years, plus not a single thing was contracted, everything was done ourselves from excavating to garage doors to roof to electric and all

I still wanna concrete the driveway to it instead of the gravel thats down now and finish insulating it, should end up around 16-17k total in materials when everything said and done

Not looking to invest that much in my current property. May be looking to relocate in the near future. You know what really blows is when you go to sell your property. For some stupid reason, realtors/banks do not put much value ($$$ wise) into outbuildings, workshops and pole barns.

Now to people like us that actually use them, there's huge value!

Was not aware of that. Gives more reason to keep the cost down since we may not reside here in the future. For the time being it would be nice to havea roof that does not leak and enough room with the car in there that I could at least "change my mind" in the garage. LOL!

Bills may be taller than you think you want but you try to plan for a minimum of 10ft ceilings and 12 would be better as you may want to do a lift eventually and dont want to limit yourself. Also keep that in mind when it comes to doing the floors as well

Man that is a sweet truck.

By the way did you all know that a man killed himself years ago in that round barn which is located just west of Aurora, Indiana on US 50? It's true. My grandpa told me all about it when we drove by there when I was about nine years old. The guy died right there in that barn of his own doing. Killed himself they say. As the old timers past it down to my grandpa that old man died of frustration in there that day. Legend says he ran himself to death in that barn trying to find a corner to pee in. Some claim that on a dark moon night when the winds are calm if you put your ear up against the outer wall of that barn and hold your breath you can still hear him running...:D
