Hey out there,I'm in a bit of a spot. The tensioner broke off of my DD truck(93 F150 351w serpentine) & I've got to remove the bracket to try & remove the bolt.Does anyone have any advice or better yet a bracket they would be willing to sell? The bone yards around here are dry. Thanks & I hope you all have a Merry Christmas.

Drill it out is best I know to do unless u can get some visegrips on bolt if enough is sticking out , this stuff sucks, always happens when its cold to..

Forget drilling bolts out weld a nut on the head heat it up and back it out.

This will work also as long as bolt ain't so rusty and tight it just spins off again

Try an easy out

I have never had luck with easy outs either except on hollow tubes and stuff like that, the head swells and makes it harder to remove. Drilling works but the hard part is getting started exactly straight. Heat and welding a nut on the top have always worked best for me. I have removed more than my fair share of broken bolts.

If you are going to drill it use a left handed drill bit half the time you get halfway in then the bolt breaks loose and spins out.

Unfortunatly it's broken off about an 1/8 of an inch in the hole.Gonna cross my fingers & try my luck with an easy out.I'll have to get a left hand bit but will try this as well.Thank you everyone & I hope you all have a Merry Christmas!

If its broke inside I would do what dirtydog said and get a left hand bit

As far as the bracket goes, it's not that expensive to get a new one if you can't score one in a junkyard. I had the same thing happen on my Bronco in the dead of winter and IIRC the bracket was about $70.
