The part in question s called the manual shaft and is held in by the manual shaft retainer pin. My question is: is there suppesed to be an offset for this or is it straight for a regular AOD out of a 90 GT. I am having problems with my AOD and I looked at my 90 GT and it is straight with no offset, but then I looked at my uncles 92 GT with an AOD and it has an offset? The TV cable is binding on mine but not on his? Any advise is welcome except junk the trans because I have no money to switch it to a T5!
Thanks,
Rodney

I am very familiar with this transmission however I haven't the faintest idea what you are talking about. the lever pivots to change gears so offset or straight is a matter of what gear it is in..

It has the stock rear end that it came with.

Well the shift lever rotates from Park to 1st so orientation depends on gear selection. It must contact the manual valve so that it pulls and pushes. It is possible to hit the wrong spot on the manual valve, the outer most groove is where the retaining clip goes. The manual valve goes in the next groove over.
