Well, this summer, a friend and I went in on a project car. So we bought a 2001 Grand Prix for next to nothing, gutted it, and rewired the whole car to get rid of all the stuff we did not need. Well, another friend up in Indiana did that part for us, since he is "head" of wiring.
After working on the car here and there and getting it back up to Indiana for tuning on E85, we have realize we have build a monster, well at least to us.
The car is NOT streetable, due to the fact that at any speed, the tires break loose, even at 80 to 100 MPH. The car is a little scary!! Even when our friend was tuning it, he was never able to WOT with the car, only to about 80% throttle, since the car wanted to just break the tires loose and torque steer pretty hard. (FWD)
We picked the car up this past sunday and took it for a drive on the roads by my friends house before loading it up, and now I understand why he was telling us the car is not streetable. Once you start pushing on the throttle, you hear the turbo spooling, and that point you better hold on. We all could not whipe the grins off our face the rest of the way back to Cincy.
Once we got the car back we did some brake boosting in the driveway to see where the car starts to pull, to get ready for the track on Saturday. I was only able to get about 50% or so throttle for a split second in the driveway, and WOW. Also, we took the power steer out, so the car is hard as hell to steer, throw in massive torque steer and you can only image......
Here is a quick video of me playing in the driveway:

And a quick video of the build progress if anyone cares:

Wish us luck this saturday. IF the car can get traction, IF the trans holds up, and IF we don't break a axle, I hope to see low 11s or even high 10s with the car. But who knows we may only get a 13 out of it, I guess we will find out on Saturday.
