My comp stage 3 cams definitely have the rowdy idle, but not sure if they'd be ideal for a turbo car. You may need to look into having somebody custom spec you some.

send a Pm to Todd, NASVT, he can send you in the right direction. He did my cams, whether custom grind or off the shelf, he knows his sheet

Your best turbo cams will be the 96-98 cams (think just the intake cams). The big cams will absolutely rob the torque, especially low end. I put JLP stage 2.5 cams in my 00 lightning and they sounded sick! But robbed the fun power it had before the cams. Regretted it....except at idle lol. You will def loose power, and I'm not sure you would be happy spending over a grand on cams and springs just to lose power. JMO

A long overlap period causes the lopey idle (rowdy sound). However, it also results in the a/f mixture getting blown out the exhaust whcih results in less power production. This is the problem with 4Vs, they have an efficient induction system so they make the most power when the idle is smooth..at least those engines operating at no more than 7000rpm.
