So long story short I drove 4 hours today out to Rochester Indiana to look at a turbo 88 gt,I finally made the long trip out here and went for a ride in the car and damn it was a screaming lil Bi*ch I was impressed!We load car up we go to do titles and its freakin salvage title!!I asked the guy several times if title was clear before I made this trip,and he told me it was clean/clear ready to go well it wasnt!So we unload car and im making my long journey bak to Cincinnati.Im So Pissed Off!why do people have to do this I rented trailer and everything blah blah it is what it is I guess!!

This is why I wont make any long trips to purchase a vehicle anymore. Seems like almost everytime I try something like this happens.

That sucks brother. Ive been there. You can get title number from them and call there local DMV and they will tell u. Just a FYI

Honesly I very rarely get mad at all,but after the 4-5 hr. trip I looked at title and I said "wtf is this"pointing where it said salvage rebuild,guy then said "what is that I didn't know it said that" I then checked vin# it matched on dash but # on door was peeled off I unstrapped car and rolled it off the trailer to risky to do the deal.Car ran amazing but to to risky!!

Sorry to hear it. Bought a bike years ago sitting by the road for sale. I test rode it and I even asked If I was branded or not, Guy said no Clear ohio no liens or brands. Standing @ the counter at the DMV As I sign the back I see it says salvage. Prior to walking in he suggested we only put 300 on the title to save me the sales tax which I agreed. At the counter I start hollering about the brand on the title and he says well Ill give you the 300 back and hands me some cash-not all I payed... I choked it up and did the transfer since he had me over a barrel. At his car in the parking lot a new price was negotiated and I was given a rebate after I explained how fast everything he owns could be turned to ashes or nabbed from his yard and mailed back to him in seperate fury chunk shipments. The bike ended up being a piece of F#$%. Sucks do lose a day trailer rental and gas but you probably just dodged a bullet.

That really sucks....I have never bought anything from an individual unless it was local. I sold a 93 T/A to a kid in West Virginia, 00 T/A to a guy in Ill and my 07 GT to a guy who flew up from FL and I picked him up at CVG....never had a problem. Some people just can't be trusted, he knew he had a salvaged title, you don't forget something like that.

i think the car is well worth the 5k with a salvage title, it doesnt take much for an issurance company to salvage title a fox body these days.. hell my buddys car got hit in the door and the window was busted it wasnt bad at all and they salvaged it

Hmmm...swap inner dash panels with vin plates...no longer salvage :) nice looking car. Last year i drive to akron with a cashiers check in hand for a turbo civic, guy said he was driving it and it started acting funny and then it does and the battery duid too. Ended up being a salvge title, motor blown, and the stamd alone ecu ripped out of it...I got screwed lol
