Made reservations for dinner for my 67th birthday at the new Cincinnati Ruth's Chris steakhouse. It will be on Dec. 1st. They open Oct. 15th. We have eaten quite often at the Ruth's Chris in Lahaina, Maui and it is awesome. I'm sure the new Cincinnati Ruth's Chris will be also. Sometimes you just have to open the wallet and treat yourself. :)

Always wanted one out here. What's it cost for two non drinkers. About 75 bucks?

We go to the two we have in Indy a few times a year and its an amazing place. Its usually a couple hundred for 2 people with a tip. Their calamari appetizer is one of my favorites

Uh, if you get teh pork chops and two iced teas you may getaway for this price. I never thought they would be this high...but wow...look at this menu price for RC.

The sides at RC are HUGE. Usually, 2 people can split a salad and a baked potatoe. What is unique about RC is that when they set the steak down in front of you, it is still sizzeling on the plate. The plate is very hot, and because of this - the steak stays hot through the meal.
Eating ast Ruth's Chris is an experience. I've eaten at The Waterfront and the Precinct and RC is better than either. I ate at Morton's and it cost more than RC.

I'm not sure if I am willing to try it or not. I know my wife is not a huge fan and she's been a to a lot of high end steak houses all over the country. I think it looses a little of its appeal when it becomes a chain. Normally when we want to splurge on a really nice dinner we go to the Pine Club but last year we went to Flemmings for our anniversary. Yes the food excellent but it was more expensive and had no atmosphere. It felt like the chain resturaunt it is.

Been to a few of them. Including the one in Vegas. Honestly the ribeye @ Texas roadhouse and the cheesecake factory blow anything I've ever had at Ruths Chris away. At a fraction of the cost.

I'm all for spending money on certain things but the porterhouse at longhorn is good enough for me. When a dinner for two cost almost as a shifter for my car..... I'm out. LOL

I'm sure Jenn and I will try a meal at RC sometime soon. 2 best steaks I've ever had were at Morton's here in town...melt in your mouth and worth every penny.

Beef allergy here.....ugh. I will stick to pork, chicken, and venison. I hear Morton's is kick ass though.

Just go to the Anderson Krogers go to the meat counter they don't adverstise them but they have dry aged steaks in the back it's about $28 bucks a lb go home grill them up and have money left over to go to red lobster the next night...... RC, Morton's, any of the Ruby restaraunts are fantastic........

Last week I ate at Mike Shannon's steak and seafood resturant in St. Louis (also got to see the Reds/Cardinals game)....it was outstanding. The price of a steak started around $40. Luckly it was a work function, so I did not have to pay.

Ruths Chris is my favorite, I have been to many fine steak houses but Ruths has always been the most consistent for service and taste. Share the sides get a large Filet Mignon or Rib Eye cooked Med/Rare and a good bottle of wine. My favorite location is the one in Indianapolis(downtown). I have been to the one in Lahaina, Maui also along with West Palm Beach, Chicago, San Francisco, Columbus, Ft. Lauderdale and more. I have never had a poor steak at Ruths Chris and I have dined their dozens of times. My experience at other "fine" steak houses is 50/50. For a much cheaper/consistent steak Texas Roadhouse is unbeatable in our area although I wish they would turn the frickin music down just a notch so I could hear others talking at my table.

Have to agree with two other posters about texas roadhouse. Spent a lot of money on a lot of meat in way to many cities and texas roadhouse consistently is similar for a fraction of the cost. Id rather have texas roadhouse 3 times+ versus RCs once. The ultra country atmoshpere can be irritating if left unrestrained.

Different strokes for different folks. I can't do something like Morton's or Ruth's Chris very often, but once in a while it's nice to treat yourself.
Actually, when I want a good steak for a price that doesn't break the budget, I go to Lone Star on Escort drive. But like I said, this is my 67th birthday so it's Ruth's Chris. I'm worth it.

R.C New York strip is amazing. I got my steak and asked for some A1 and the chef came out to out table and asked if something was wrong with my steak. I said no why, he said you asked for steak sauce I didn't know if there was a problem with the taste of you steak. I didn't really know what to say, it kinda caught me off guard I just said um... no I just like A1. I didn't end up using much of the A1 because the steak was that good! But plan on dropping at least $150 when you go.
