I had a great day hanging out with Smytty at Tristate. The car ran low 10.0's all day and finally at the end of the day I got my 9 sec slip.

Thanks guys. This car is a freaking blast. 25+ mpg on the highway and fast as hell. It weighs over 3800 lbs with me in it, so I am looking for parts to put it on a diet, yet retain the full street car nature.
No trans brake yet. But as soon as they come out I will have one.

Thanks everyone. It was a good time Saturday, the best thing is I truly drive this thing everywhere. I have driven it to Norwalk 3 times for tunes, and sycamore for the roll bar. When entering into the build my main goal was complete driveability.
I am going to play around with it a little more trying to tweak it, then I will tune it back a little because I dont want to go with a full cert cage.

No possibility of a transbrake right now.
I've had the guys at circle d look into it, and also from the tuning side of things
a manual vb doesn't appear to be an option either.
the trans is strong though, with a looser converter a guy at beechbend pulled a 1.37 this weekend. same weight as me and tony around 3850 lbs.
the looser converter makes it a little tougher to hold power though, and he is flaring on the 3-4 shift
i am testing the stage 2 for exedy and they are going to take a look at the clutches now that i have a full season on them and see how they look.
should hopefully go into full production on them soon.
circle d also did a support bearing modification as well. the direct drum support bearing is a bad design, and will most definately wear out.
hopefully the new bearing design they did on mine looks good as well.
i am thinking 8's steadily on this trans shouldn't be an issue,

I have been wondering what the limits of the trans is. Mine have well over 200 (n/a and SC) passes now and still "seems" ok. But at some point it will need to be freshed up. I will definitely be interested in the clutch and support bearing upgrade when they become available.
Who in this area can do the rebuild?

Do you just have a roll bar now? Like no door bars or dash bars.
What all mods do you have done? I'm looking for ideas for my 12.
Thanks.

I have a six point chrome moly roll bar with swing outs but retain the full interior.
The mods are : boss short block, vortech at 12lbs, boss intake, long tubes and x pipe, converter, 3.31 gears, a lot of suspension work, and aluminum drive shaft.

what pulley do you have on the head unit?

Brian did the stage 1 in mine at finish line.
I believe the stage 2 requires modifications to the drums, The only one that had done the trans to this point was circle d. However, the guy at circle d that was doing the trans, left to go to work for exedy,
He says they are still equipped to do it. He will be the one going through my trans in a couple weeks to verify his work

I am using the 3.4"pulley, one size smaller than what comes with it.
I am definitely interested in the clutch upgrades. I would prefer to use a local guy so i can pull
It myself and take it in. Shipping a Trans would be a hassle.

brian can def do the stage 1's, but the stage 2's are gonna be what you want.
who is tuning your car right now
Dtony

I agree. I will definitely want to upgrade when I do it.
Jeff Chambers at CRT Performance tunes the car. They are in Norwalk Ohio.
