It's a really good single plane that simply works. No reason to mess with success. X-celerator, gt40's and a alphabet cam

well the other choice would be an edelbrock performer rpm or whatever the 1500-6500 intake is ... damn carb cars! ... lol ...

were using the old trusty dusty track proven 11 second time blaster trick flow stage 1 super cam ... when you stick one of those under those cam bearings, you can bet on 11 second power or your money back ...

is that a small dual plane? ... the x-celerator is stock height and flows pretty good, thought it would be a good choice for my work buddy ...

But on all reality, if that thing doesn't go 11's, you're doing it wrong. And the Free Ackbar doesn't include shipping.

Sorry Rick I just actually read what you were trying to do. X-celerator would be ideal. It was a long day at the track:lol:

Does the weiand single plane intake flow as well as the victor jr? We're thinking about switching Mikes car over to carbed and wanna start researching what's working best

that efi vic 5.0 really flows!!! ... i think its advertised to 7500 rpms ...

i've been researching for a few weeks on a 302/ported gt40 build for a guy at work, seems like the x-celerator has some low/mid range grunt even though its a single plane ... it has a small plenum and i like the size of the exit ports 1.90/1.02, should be a good match for what im doing ...

i think we will just order this new, i was trying to save him a few bucks ......

I used a pro products hurricane single plane on my carbed gt40 motor with a f cam and it worked really well and cleared the stock hood

is that the x-celerator's knock off?

im reading good stuff about the x-celerator, now that im digging deeper into this it only needs a little bit of material removed from the plenum and port matched ... a single plane intake that maintains drive-ability like a dual plane ... 1500-7000 rpms ...

I think it's more of a Vic Jr. knockoff.

yea i seen that after i posted .. the typhoon looks like a performer rpm knock off ...

we've decided on the x-celerator and i will work it over ... dont really want to a big vic jr on a 302/ported gt40 combo ...
