Its getting close to winter which means the Cobra will be parked soon and its getting re done from ground up i really want to build the motor to handle boost without stroking or buying a different block or anything and need some help picking everything since this is the first supercharged car I've built

H beam rods and forged pistons, reuse the stock crank, head studs and either cometic or mls head gaskets

Just use a factory spec piston if ur not going to go huge on boost the comp ratio is fine with boost, I believe the 03-04 cobras have Manley pistons

Diamond pistons are much much nicer than Manleys. And 03-04 Cobras have Mahle pistons.

I'd go Diamond or CP on the pistons. Of course the DSS pistons I put in my engine were pretty nice too but I don't know that they are any cheaper. I think any 4340 H beam with ARP hardware will work. The factory crank is plenty strong for anything you can throw at it and a set of OE MLS head gaskets should be more than enough for most street cars.

yes they r used from a 04 cobra i was gonna use them and build me a short block with a tekid block for my 04 cobra that way it would be alot lighter and would have no real down time.
