Motor randomly shuts down and i have to turn the key off in order to restart it. It's a 88 lx v8 swap. It did this when it was a 4cyl too. Any ideas?

Ok ill replace it next week when I get paid. How can I check the relay, one of the relays behind the passenger kick panel clicks as soon as it messes up

It's not a relay, it completely loses power to thw whope car for barely a second, radio and all ligjts cut out. Sometimes it just shuts off completely even when its in gear and moving

Sounds like bad electrical connections to me. Can't just be the battery cables, the alt would keep it running. I would start by cleaning every ground you can find on the car.

Could it be the sensor for roll overs? Bc ihad a 2003 ranger that did the same thing and it was flipped on its roof once or twice and I had to keep resetting the fuel pump when it shut off

Figured it out. One of the wires that plugs into the ignition coil had bad contact and pulled out of the plug as soon as I touched it. Thanks for the help guys

Apparently a bad ignition switch is a known problem on the foxbodys, replacing it tomorrow
