Now they are saying that GM just asked the govt if they would sell out all of their shares. If sold today the American people would take a $15 BILLION loss. Then again that may be a hell of a deal if gm continues to tank. Btw Obama said he would not sell, but I'm sure that is so he would not be hung with another huge loss right before the election

I blame the UAW! Probably gonna piss someone off, but the unions have destroyed so much in this country. People do the same jobs non union making 15-20 and hour and pay part of there health care, and 401. But if the big three ask the UAW to pay alittle more of there health care to help the company during hard times they strike, plus ontop of that they make 25-30+ and hr, not drug tested, don't pay much for there healthcare. So how can you blame them for cutting job and shipping overseas when the greedy american won't adjust there lifestyle to help the company out and keep there jobs. My grandmother was forced to retire early when they shutdown the saturn plant in TN. She will admit that she was way over paid, and that it wasn't fair the way the employees just got away with everything. She made over 100k a year putting door panels on a car down a assembly line. Now she is retired she gets retirement from GM, Saturn, also her SS, and get full Benefit from GM. She still get over 3K a month retired. The average american doesn't make that working. So you can't just blame the companies they try to make it work, but if you can't get the UAW to work with ya then what are you going to do.

Chuck, don't blame all unions, just the UAW and other similar over bearing unions.

Then again the automakers agreed to their terms.
