Which carb would you go with? 89 5.0 short block, TFS1 cam, Edelbrock RMP Air Gap intake, unported GT40p heads, 5-speed. Been looking at these three. I know you can't go wrong with the Holley DP. Does anyone have experience with the other two? Would 600 CFM be sufficient?

I run a 1406 edelbrock on my setup which is close to yours and love it. I have had two 4777 650 dps and hated them. I guess the carb choose depends on street or strip.

Pro systems worth the money.

I ran that Holley carb with p heads, f cam, victor jr, in a auto coupe with 3000 stall and the choke horn removed and it worked flawlessly, quick fuel carbs are good carbs as well

This is a small budget build. I think I am leaning towards the Quick Fuel.

Fill out a tech form from Pro Systems. You might be surprised How close the cost is.

Contacted Pro Systems. They won't mess with anything under 400 hp

If u ask me that's a shotty way of doing business ( if ur motor doesn't make over 400hp we don't want our parts on it) that's pretty much the sum of it. Just buy a good off the shelf carb, I don't care for the edelbrocks but that's just my opinion and don't over carb it

I find that hard to believe. Guy by my mom's has a 650 Pro Systems carb on a mild 318 mopar And I know It's not 400 hp.

They were very polite the whole time, didn't act like they were too good. Basically said an out of the box carb would be sufficient and that their custom set ups start around 400 hp.

A Holley 650 DP will be sufficient.
