Harmonic balance question??

I had a oil leak coming from the timing chain cover ,so i decided to fix it today . When i went to pull the harmonic balancer off i didn't need to use a puller on it, it came right off .
Now i know I've had Dem some bitches fight me .It also just slides all the way back on , and slides off w/o any problems .
So the question is ,do i need a new balancer ? or is there a bigger problem ?
Which balancer ,or damper to get, and don't want to spend more than 150.00
on it ,and spacer if needed.

Also , since I'm putting new heads on it TFS 170,61cc new , which cam should i go with . I'm looking at the TFS stage 1 w/ 1.72 rockers , or the Anderson n21 w/ the 1.72's. I pulled a b303 out of it ,but since I'm in it this deep which would be the best choice of cams for the set-up.

Set-up
Stock bottom end w/ 25k since freshened up
GT40 upper , and lower intake
70mm bbk throttle body
Granatelli mass air
BBK equal length shorties w/ egr ,and smog pump delete
BBK x-pipe ,and flow-master 40's dumped
upr cai
Car made 277hp and 306tq on motor , and 361hp and 426tq on a 125shot
with the stock heads .

I would go with the tfs cam since it was designed to be used with those heads and u should try another balancer and see if it's the same way or if u need a shim on the snout of the crank

Ordering a new one tomorrow so i should have it tues,or wed . Didn't know you could shim the crank snout.
I'm hoping the factory balancer is just wore out .

I say go Anderson cams,and try the n41 with the 1.7's rr,and make sure you check ptv clearance . I have a damper you can use to test fit with just pm me ,and also check your crank o/d ,and the crank key ,make sure its not cracked or worn on the sides (rounded) . Good luck
