Ipad owners inside please.

So Kevins laptop took a dump. Well, more accurately, he tripped on the cord and the screen cracked when it hit the deck! Ooooppps. So to still use it, he created a Franken-top. (Hooked an old monitor to the laptop) Not a good replacement.

So I work at the VA and caught a good deal on an Ipad through the canteen. Tax free, low cost, and they take payments out of my check interest free, and from my gross (before taxes). YAY.

Only I have no idea how to use an I pad. Or what ity does. Yeah..I'm tarded.

I hear it can replace a laptop, be used as a kindle...is this correct? What else can it do?

IPad's are in aid to be used with a Mac computer. It can do a lot, but certain things will be missed. If you have to do a lot typing your going to miss the laptop.

They do. Too me it's just awkward to use with an IPad, but that's me. In my opinion getting a laptop or netbook is better but i am not an Apple person either.

I love mine, typing is different but doable. There are some things you can't do online but I can deal with that.

there is a new ipad coming out in the next couple months or so. its supposed to be about half the size and a much more reasonable price.

Thats what i heard and I'm waiting for, my lap top is screwed, (don't ever buy gateway) I just want an iPad but I don't want to pay 500 or what ever they are for something that's just a lot. Offer than my iPhone

Just buy a new screen off ebay and ivstall it. Not hard and its only around $100
