Candy and I were discussing this so thought I would toss it up to see if any other couples or even singles wanted to make a weekend trip maybe september? As hot as its been I can only imagine August is going to be miserably hot. A much needed day/weekend to blow off some steam! And socialize outside of something car related. Post up if interested and what weekend, days ect. would work.:bigthumb

I don't have my schedule for Sept yet, but for cabrewing, August is fine. It may be hot but you're in water, so who cares? Any Saturday xcept the 4th is good for us. And if we narrow down a date I think we can include our neighbors in too, they been wanting to go.

I heard they have cracked down on this like no other. Heard cops hide in the trees with binoculars and bust people left and right.

I doubt this, it has to be motorized.

Sept 8 and 9th are the 2 days I DO work in Sept. Plus we have a wedding that Friday the 7th. So this weekend won't work for Kevin and I.

Somerset Man Arrested On Charge Of Riding Horse While Drunk
Kentucky.com ^ | May 10, 2005 | Associated Press

SOMERSET, Ky. - A Somerset man has been charged with drunken driving - for riding a horse while allegedly intoxicated.

Millard Greg Dwyer, 42, was arrested Sunday night after he rode his horse onto a downtown street in front of an off-duty state trooper, Somerset Police Lt. Allan Coomer said.

Trooper Martin Wesley told local officers that Dwyer looked like he was about to fall off the horse.

Coomer said Dwyer admitted to being drunk and told officers that he had ridden the horse from Fishing Creek, which was about 5 miles away.

Dwyer told officers that he had consumed about a twelve pack, Coomer said. Dwyer failed sobriety tests, Coomer said, and was charged with operating a vehicle other than a motor vehicle under the influence of intoxicants.

A breath test showed Dwyer's alcohol level at .244, more than three times the limit, Coomer said.

Dwyer was released from the Pulaski County Dentention Center Monday, jail officials said. He faces a fine of between $20-$100, plus court costs, Coomer said.

Coomer said the arrest was "very unusual," but Somerset police have arrested others for similar violations, such as riding a bicycle and a lawn mower under the influence.

And a 2nd story

Wow. But the phrase "other than a motorized vehicle" still stands out. To be convicted of a DUI, the law states you have to be operating a "vehicle" and the phraseology of what constitues a vehicle includes it being motorized. So I wonder what the news account left out. But way good article, thanks for posting!
