I was on a website from a campground where my Dad and his family owns a camper. Last year they started a car show. My Dad hassled me for a few months to bring my car out there and put it in the show. He wasnt a car guy at all. I really didnt want to. I didnt feel like it was show car material. Plus its a about an hour ride. So he called one day and told me that he filled out the registration form and paid the entry fee. So then I felt like I had to go. And my Grandpa called and ask if I was going to go out and enter the car show. If so he would go out also. He has a camper out there also. Anyway, I got a call on friday from the boy that my Dad took care of. He's 13 and its my girlfriend of 12 years cousin. He wanted me to know that the car show is next weekend and if I want to enter I had to go online and fill out the form. I didnt know they have a website. So I went to their site to check it out and see what they put on their website. They posted pics from a bunch of different events that they had last year and this year. And the car show was on there. There were 2 pics of every car in the show. Which wasnt many. But one that they had kind of touched me. Since this pic was taken Ive lost my Dad and my Grandpa. About 2 months or so apart. We are all three in this pic. My Dad is in the white shirt leaning against the fence behind the car. Im standing next to the car in a light blue shirt. And my Grandpa is sitting next to the car in a red shirt that you can see through the window. Nothing special just something that means alot to me so I thought I would share.

Thanks guys. I lost my Dad on Dec 21 2011 and my Grandpa in Sept 2011. This may have been the last time the 3 of us were together. On my Dads side of the family, My Dad had 7 brothers and he was the oldest and I am the oldest. They did the name pass down thing. The name Reuben was passed down to me. There was 4 of us but I am a 3rd. My Gra Grandpa was Reuben Frank Vickers and My Grandpa, my Dad and I are Reuben Thomas Vickers. So out of 4 Reuben Vickers I am the only one left. I cant have kids so I gues it stops with me unless a miracle happens. Or if I adopt. I am in no shape to do that. But thanks for taking a look and thanks for the nice comments.

Funny how you ended up going to the show you did not really want to, this picture being taken, finding it on the website, and now being able to look at this picture with a fond memory of those you lost....makes you think.

Yeah I know. A strange coarse of events. I am very glad I decided to go. It was a very good day. The show started at noon and only lasted 2 hours. The 3 of us spent the rest of the day together. Makes me think the big guy up stairs had something to do with it.
