I'm looking into getting a 8.8 narrowed as an option for a none stang project. I thought some of you guys would know best as to who does this in the Cincy area.

I had Josh Ashley (Outlaw85) on here do one for me. Turned out nice. Also Rob Lewis (Rob) does bad ass work.
What is it for and how much you having it cut down? I got one for sale on here.

I'm needing a rear end that measures 561/2 - 58 inches axle flange to flange. A least that's what all the people in the "KNOW" say that I talk to. It's for a 1931 Ford Tudor. Most guys are running Maverick 8 inches or expensive 9 inches. I'm told if I get two Explorer diffs and get the long side shortened or use the short tube & axle from the extra diff it gives me a 561/2". I'd like to have a 3.24-3.55 range gear.

Oh Ok. I know Speedway Motors sells the 9 inch housing for the Model A's and 32's and they range from 56 inches to 60 inches but thats from each housing end. I think your on the right track though as far as length.

Do you want to run a 8inch or a 9inch, I know a guy that has maverick width 9inch housings axles and backing plates. might give him a call and price it compaired to the 8.8 might be cheaper.
