What is your favorite short throw shifter for a 3650 and why?

nothing beats a hurst and looks good (old skool) too lol but pro 5.0 and a few others are good

Hurst in the 05- looked nice and did the job. A bit notchy but good otherwise. Ran the billet aluminum model. For the 13 will be running an MGW if I upgrade it. The MGW is a complete replacement including housing and improved support. THe hurst only replaces the shifter and leaves the weakre factory housing and offers no support upgrade.

I didn't like how the hurst does not have reverse lock out on the mt82.

I'll either go Mgw or wait and do the tremic magnum trans swap. I'm wanting to go with twins in the next few years and don't want to worry about the trans.

WOW!!! I did not know the Hurst lacked lockout reverse. That would be the clincher reason why I will not continue my loyalty to Hurst and legendary Hurst Shift Girl (that was her title ladies) Linda Vaughn. Worked nicely on the old S197 however. Had I another S197,Edge, SN95, or Fox I'd stick with them however. May not have been the best shifter but looked the nicest and did the job. Linda Vaughn (not to be confused with the playmate of 1982) was in her prime when I was about 5 BTW. Still looked awesome back in 1994 when I finally got to meet her.

That's a cool story. I was set on the hurst also. Till i read that on American muscle. I looked it up and its true.

Sorry to derail the op's thread. But I did drive a 3650 with the Mgw and it was great.

I love my B&M Pro Ripper, not sure if they make one for a 3650 but if they do its a good one

If anyone is interested in shifter function over a name, you might look into MGW. It's the "Top Gun" of shifters.
