Don't know if I need to post this under general maintence or here but anyway.
I bought a Ram 1500 at a good price. The trans seems to be acting up to me. When it shifts it seems like it drags out the shift but doesn't shift hard, just seems like it takes along time to shift. Also when its in OD running around 45-50 and you let off it and it jumps up in the rpms like 3-400 then drops back down. Does that in a really fast time span. I notice that when I checked the trans fluid it seems to be alittle high. On the stick it has the Hot n Cold after running to work and check it, its just above hot dot. I don't know much about trans so any advice would be appreciated. Last Trans I had looked at, they wanted to rebuild it, and after some research I found out that the main computer harness was loose and fixed the problem with a cleaning and plug back in correct. So I don't trust shops to much.
The Truck is a 03 Dodge Ram 1500 3.7 Auto. Seems like its a 5speed with the OD included. But don't know what model the trans is.
