I will try to take some time Monday morning and make one. Keep in mind that this is not an official SBZ event. I am assisting with the event but this is NOT an SBZ only event. It is an invitation. We are hoping to see a lot of different people. Its for a good cause. It's not just about a cruise.

That looks good Steve. My question Chad would be...are the donations staying there in Dayton or being brought back to Cincy?!

Donations will be brought back to Keith Maupin for the Matt Maupin yellow ribbon support center here in Cincy. We are collecting there so that we can get everything at one time from the locals who care to join us there. If need be I will drive my truck up or have someone bring it up for me.

I have one made up Steve. I just need to get it posted. I was trying to figure out how to convert it into a PDF without havingto buy a bunch of software. I currently have it write protected as a word document.

Case of baby wipes in soft packs at Costco are usually less than $20. Quite a few in the case as well. Would be awesome to drop that huge load at the center!!

I see no reason why bikes cannot be included. While I and others have been excluded from veteran or memorial biker fund raisers in the past, I will not be obtuse by excluding bikes from being a part of this event. After all it is for the purpose of raising goods for the military men and women overseas. I am sure Keith Maupin who runs the Yellow Ribbon Support Center here in Cincinnati would appreciate the invitation to be open to bikers as well.
I would suggest and request that bikes ride to the back of the main group so they don't have to contend with feeling crowded by autos/trucks. Thanks for asking and invite your friends. :bigthumb

Three weeks until this cruise happens. Requests were made to have a cruise this summer, therefore this idea was resurrected and made an open invitation to area clubs, and sites to get the best bang for the troops. This is your opportunity to kill two birds with one stone. Go on a cruise and help a good cause. You asked for it, now you have it. Time to step up and commit to joining an event that will benefit our troops overseas. The cost of some gas and a personal item or two needed by our troops overseas is a small price to give in return for their sacrifice.

This Saturday is shaping up to be a nice day for a cruise. No rain and 88 degrees. It's time to get out again, bring an item or two to donate to the yellow ribbon support center headed up by Keith Maupin (Father of Matt Maupin) and show some support for your brothers and sisters and sons and daughters fighting overseas to protect your freedoms.
See the flier attached to the opening thread.

Will be driving the silver F150. Figured if I brought out the "green means go" car there would be more people show up with items than I could haul in a mustang trunk. So look for me in the silver F150. See you guys there at 9:30am. Thanks for supporting this effort.

What a great day. We had a blast and the generosity was outstanding, and no one was pulled over :D ! All of the proceeds along with a cash donation I will be making to help with shipping costs will be taken over to Mr. Keith Maupin NLT Monday 7/23/2012. I will be calling him to confirm that we can meet and give him the donations generated by today's event - his schedule allowing.
Thank you KYFB guests for making an appearance, cruising with us, and helping our cause. :bigthumb
Thanks bestracing for offering to post up the event.:thanks:
Thanks Dayton Stang Board members who met us at WPAFB Museum with donations as well and spent some time socializing. :bigthumb
A final great big thank you goes out to :bigthumbDayton Performance:bigthumb making the offer to hosts a dyno day. Thank you Mike for offering this up.
Kilkare was a blast. We stayed as long as we could (Shelby and myself) without getting into trouble with wifey. Wish we could have stayed through the very end of everything, but that would have put Shelby and I both in the doghouse. Was great to see Jeff88Coupe, WHYUCRYEN, and a few other locals we recognized getting it done and hanging it all out. Great racing!! Better than an NHRA event (I've been to one now so I can say that). We all had a blast.

Just spoke to Keith Maupin this afternoon when he returned my call from Sunday afternoon. He was out of town for the weekend and got back today. I have arranged to take all of the items we collected and the cash donation I mentioned to him tomorrow morning. He is very thankful and appreciates the effort regardless of how large or small. Thanks again to everyone who donated and came out. OUR military brothers and sisters that protect this country will be grateful to say the least.
When I was in there was nothing like getting what we called a "CARE package" from home. It was always a moral booster.

Dropped off the donations to Mr Keith Maupin this morning at 10:00am. Keith asked to to pass on a sincere and heartfelt sense of gratitude and thanks to everyone who supported this event and/or donated. Even the least little bit helps.
I would encourage everyone to stop by the yellowribbon support center in Eastgate just off the Batavia 32 exit. For full address go to www.yellowribbonsupportcenter.com
Thanks for the efforts. Our military brothers and sisters of America will gain much from our contribution.
