Metal Detecting???

Any guys on here fool around with metal detectors. I'm about to pull the trigger on one and wanted to see if anyone has any experience.

they use to have a saw mill and there's two houses and three barns and they've had 5 generations live there so i'm hoping someone burried some mason jars full of money!

Haha yeah. A couple unrelated people have mentioned it lately which has re sparked the though. Every time I'm at bass pro I look at them.
