Does this look like it will hold?

My cousin is looking at this project car and it has been back halfed. Over all it doesn't look bad however this spot looked kind of questionable. This is where the frame rail is welded to the cross member and the ladder bar brackets are welded on. Does this look like it would hold? The frame and back half looks to be very solid and braced properly. That part in the picture had me concerned because there is the gap but I was thinking that could easily be fixed by adding a brace and gusset plate acrossed the side on both sides just to be safe and tie it all together.
