know of any departments that are hiring levelII Firefights/EMT-B
I take my state test tuesday for fire and I want a job asap

City of Franklin
where are you testing at? I'll be an emt b in two weeks. already have my fire II taken care of.
I know washington twp. is hiring currently. go to www.mvfea.com for links. not sure of any farther south than that.
a lot of departments will require a CPAT test as well. not sure if you've done one yet, but there is a link on the site I posted above for that too.

Hocking college im getting a degree in fire/emergncy services

I wish i could find a dept that would hire me wile I work on getting medic school is just costing me alot of money
most around here will. will you be taking your medics at hocking as well? how long is the program there?

medic is one year here after you get emt-b but the whole thing is 2year

city of Cincinnati is testing 8/4/12. you have to sign up before the test. go to the city web site.

I would definitely try out for the city of cincinnati. They have it pretty darn good I work for the city and service all of the fire houses HVAC equipment.

6. How do you become a firefighter?
To become a firefighter you must have certain qualifications. You can obtain a list of the qualifications at Two Centennial Plaza, 805 Central Avenue, 2 nd Floor, or call the Human Resources Department at (513) 352-2400. To obtain information on future recruiting efforts, contact the Fire Department Recruiting Officer at (513) 352-1684.

The testing for Cincinnati will be for a class some time in the fall I believe. They hope to have a class off of the current list from a previous process first. And you do need to apply online first.
