i heard that.......... that's my guess though but i'm not that familiar with the t-45s I just know what's been wrong with mine, my t-56 just got rebuilt due to an input shaft. I had a t-5 do it two years ago just driving along and lost 4th and 5th

And surprising enough it is a bitch to find a replacement bell housing.

go buy a new shift fork from ford and take it to a machine shop and have them aluminum weld it to re enforce it. youll have a hell of a time breaking it then. IF your running a stock shifter get rid of it and get something with stops or your gonna constantly be replacing broken forks

new forks from ford r 40 bucks if u dont have 3 and 4 and have the rest then its not a broken imput shaft for sure. more then likely a fork or a little thing like a key way i call a slider bars. and yea what josh said is right about welding the fork i was the first one i no of to do that and have never broke another one scince.

Jim at thet45source.com knows these things in and out. Get in touch with him and I am sure he can get you all squared away.

i prefer D&D performance i'm not sure if they have t-45 parts or not but all i know is if you have a tremec issue and you call tremec they'll tell you to go to D&D

i know one guy with a d&d built t45 and another guy with a promotion built t45 they both resuse the stock ford forks and both have broken them and replaced them with welded ones, go buy new ones from ford and have them aluminum welded. I guarantee they will never break again. Steve (700hp04mystic) shifts his 98cobra on the floor with a 150shot and its never given him a problem once he welded the forks.
