typical leaks and rust, road test of course, check for broken parts and things that don't work. have a guy who brought his 97 in and it looks like it was stored on top of a salt pile.

roger that Bob i was thinking just 4v specific to look for, this one is really clean i do know it just had the heads done........ are the sn's prone to hidden rust anywhere? or just look in typical spots like a fox frame rails etc....

Yes the SN's have their spots too. Look inside the trunk down in the wheel wells behind the panels. My red 94 was mint but when you looked in there they were starting to rust. Then your typical areas, frame rails, floorboards, etc. They also like to rust up front on the outside of the strut towers where the K member bolts up. Just look in through the wheel wells.

As stated, frame rails at the strut towers, rear wheel well lips, and the lower quarters on the inside of the bumper cover. Also check the floors. Just about every fox chassis car has a crack behind the passenger front seat right rear bolt. And the floors at the front by the firewall.

Shes doin great considering shes only a week out. Range of motion is very limited. They let her take the brace off yesterday. She only has to wear it while sleeping and while riding in a car.

try to be there for a cold start and listen for the timing chain tensioners to rattle, also check the transmission over very good. The t45s are know to have very weak shift forks.
