Thanks guys!!
Was a crazy night! The win took a little of the sting out from a drunk guy hitting my coupe and trying to get away.
BIG thanks to Jack for hanging in the window with me, fighting the guy to get the car shut off and the keys out. It could have went bad fast with us both hanging on with him moving!
We did manage to get the keys and hank his ass out, then he took off on foot, Jack chased him down and tripped him up, then dove on him:lol:
THANK GOD there was no major damage, just some minor paint work needed. Still SUCKS though:mad:

Was some great racing with Jack! The final was my 11.51 to his 11.47 and you can't run under 11.50:eek:

Yep, hauled him off... the officer did say he had insurance, wasn't his car though, it was some girls. Hopefully his insurance will take care of it???
At noon yesterday I called Hagerty insurance and paid for a year policy, I did have progressive will liability only. Less than 8 hours with my new insurance I have a claim:(
I talked to them, they suggested getting a claim started, said they will go after him for the $ and should not hurt me at all under the circumstances.

Glad they came and hauled him off. Hope you guys face planted him real good in the attempted getaway. That has the potential of being a growing issue down there on Thursday nights. Reason one why I will not be down there even to watch on Thursdays. They need to get a better crowd control policy in place. Someone will end up hurt and owning that place outright.
Yes Shannon, his insurance should pay out because he was driving the car. If it doesn't your insurance company may cover the claim then go after either one for the difference. Either way your insurance premium should not be effected. When Kim was hit some years back the woman driving the car was not the owner. She had insurance. Her insurance paid (she hit Kim broadside).

I just didn't turn the bottle on:D
Seriously, I thought it would be easier to slow it down... swapped the 4.30's out for 4.10's, pulled 8* of timing, took 2% of fuel out, lowered shift light to 5100 and turned the 2 step down from 5800 to 4400:eek:

Just got back in town from St.Louis. Glad to hear insurance is going to take care of this Shannon. Yeah Mr. Douchebag thought he was getting away from Jack. Little did he know, 'Ole Jack here still has a little getty up in his 40year old step!!! He took off running down thru the staging lanes towards the track. I managed to reach out and grab the the back of his collar and kick his feet out and rode him to the ground. He then got back up with me on his back(He was around 6' 3" and about 220LBS/ I'm 5'7" and 170LBS) and I got him in a choke hold from behind and managed to pull his big ass over backwards and get my feet back on the ground and slung him over my hip back to the ground and stuck my knee into the side of his face while the police cuffed him. I guess from the view behind all this. It looked quite comical when I tripped him up. People said his gym shoes went flying 10 feet thru the air. I know I was feeling it all weekend on our little road trip. I'm getting to old to be playing with these 20 year old drunk kids!!! Oh well just doing what I think anyone else would have done under the same circumstances. I'm just glad he didn't do more damage to Shannon's car. It could've got ugly real quick up there when we were hanging in his car with him moving back and forth trying to get away.
