Septemeber 22, FALL Street Car Shootout!

On Saturday, September 22, 2012, Street Cars from all over the area will meet at HOOTERS, Springdale!! (12185 Springfield Pike Springdale, OH 45246) We will meet then drive to Tri-State Dragway to see who is the Baddest Street Car in the area.

Registration is from 10:45am-NOON. You MUST register between these hours in order to participate in this event. You will give your name, address, color & type of vehicle that you will be driving. You will also receive a 2012 SCS Sticker which will need to be displayed on the lower front Driver side of your car.

At 12:15 pm, we will fire up the cars and head out to Tri-State Dragway. Participating vehicles will be DRIVEN under their own power to Tri-State. Support Vehicles/Tow Vehicles can driven at the tail end of the convoy.

The route is simple....Head out of HOOTERS, turn right onto Route 4, Turn right onto I 275 (WEST). Travel to Colerain Ave (US 27) (Exit 33A/B) turn Right off exit. Travel North on 27 to Hwy 128 Ross Exit. Turn Right off exit and travel to Tri-State Dragway. (4 1/2 miles on Right)

You will tech in with Tri-State and adhere to all their Rules and regulations. Once you have your number, you can make as many runs as you want.

After your run and you receive your run ticket from Tri-States ticket booth, you will need to stop by the SCS Pop up. It will be located near the ET Slip booth.
You will tell the SCS Official your Name and he in turn will check your time slip against the number on your car. Your run will be recorded in the Registration book (from Kmart) and the top 16 at the end of the day, will be awarded the Top 16 Stickers! Number 1 will also receive a Plaque.

As the day goes on, we will notify all participants what the cut-off time is and when to meet at the SCS Pop up to hand out the Top 16 Stickers.
Once the top 16 is sorted out, we ask the drivers to head to the staging lanes to be paired up for the Heads Up Shoot-out!!

1vs16................2vs15
3vs14................4vs13
5vs12................6vs11
7vs10................8vs9

The overall Winner will receive a Heads-up Shootout Plaque and a SCS "WINNER" sticker.


Cost for this.......Whatever TS charges for Test & Tune. Cincy Speed is supplying the Plaques and stickers.

I hope to see everyone there, Daily Drivers, Street Cars, Race cars disguised as Street cars, Diesels....whatever. Bikes can run, but will not be in the hunt for the Top 16.

From hooters to tristate? Maybe 20 minutes if that. Hooters is right next to 275,hop on 275,make the 8 minute drive to Colerain ave (27),turn right,drive 8 minutes (maybe walmart traffic) to 128 (ross) exit,turn right,and take that straight to tristate. Maybe another 5 minutes.

There is usually very little traffic in colerain,and I am exaggerating times,and you usually make very few stops.

Also for the fast guys the tech will get you for your helmet not being Snell certified.. I think they let everyone still race but you get to hear the story :lol:

I have a question. Once we register is it required to stay at hooters until everyone heads out? I would prefer leaving sooner and getting to the track early so I can get cooled down and ready for racing.

Tti-State does not open till 12:30 and wont start racing till 1, so you will have plenty of time to cool down and get plenty of runs.:bigthumb

Got a set mounted on some factory bullets, they are 275/50/17 M/H(about 28" tall). Let me know, I can bring them home from work tomorrow.

What kind of trans? I drove from Dayton to tristate/edgewater several times last year with 4.56's. It would cruise 70mph at 2100rpm. My 2012 focus is up over 3k at 70. That's with a T5 though.

350 turbo Trans with 5000 converter. At 50 it's about 4500 just hate to spin it up high for long periods. It makes the trip to Tri state fine from home.

Used the track app function on my car today. Found a nice little place in the boonies with no houses around and flat straight. Posted 13.0 @ 113mph. The data does not provide 60ft, and other stuff, but seriously doubt the 60 foot was better than 2.1. So.............Smitty, there is tons left in your car with that 3.55 gear and less weight. :bigthumb.

They really look at your helmet? If they are picky enuff to check helmets I guess I should not even bother going since I don't have a cage in my car and expect to be in the 10s

He was still letting you go but he mentions you need to have one...
IF your that fast dont say anything when he ask you what you run...

He was getting people for batteries not being tied down properly.. He takes a good amount of time teching the cars now also...

Thanks man, it was great chatting with so many new people. It is crazy how fast some of you guys go. It's pretty intertaining to watch, especially trying to skate those high hp cars down the track at Tristate.

That mustang is fast aint no doubt. But If your having to sit at the meeting spot with a genarator and battery charger on it before you make a 15 min cruise does kinda question the street ability. But hats off it made the required criuse and ran good
