A friends cousin's 1972 Corvette on a dyno run at Cincy Speed. Appeared to be a fuel leak, luckily no damage to the body/paint with only minor damage to wiring and conduits in the fuel system.

Check out the dog...he knows when to GTFO!!

Glad nobody was hurt.

I'm amazed at how calm that dog was during the dyno pull.

hate to see that happen to what looked like a nearly finished project.

Damn. Glad no one was hurt...I was wondering what you were griping about on FB.

I can't believe how calm Axle was during the dyno pull...but I guess he's used to them by now.

Update on the fire and damage:

72 UPDATE: THE FIRE WAS CAUSED BY POWER STEERING FLUID. THE RETURN LINE HAD A FITTING THAT LEAKED. THE FITTING CAUSED A RESTRICTION IN THE FLOW. AFTER MANY MINUTES OF HIGH RPM TUNING I THINK THE PRESSURE BUILT UP. DAMAGED WAS NOT TOO BAD. COMPUTER WIRING HARNESS, COIL PKG ON DRIVERSIDE COIL PKG WIRE HARNESS.

PLUG WIRES, COIL COVER, SOME REWIRE OF THE STOCK WIRING AND VACUUM HOSES. THE ONLY PAINT DAMAGE WAS UNDER THE HOOD. THE FRAME AND FIREWALL ARE FINE. LOTS OF CLEAN UP WORK. ABOUT $2000.00 IN PARTS. IT COULD HAVE BEEN ALOT WORSE. I HAD INSTALLED A SHIELD TO PROTECT THE COMPUTERS FROM THE HEADER HEAT. THE SHIELD SAVED THE COMPUTERS.

Unable to see the video at work. Assumed a bigger fire than what it was. Glad nobody was hurt.

The best is Axle laying there just hanging out, and with all that noise, he knew something was not right as he look over his shoulder and then POOF.

I guess if you Dyno at Cincy, make sure you keep an eye on Axle, and if he looks at your car strange, shut it down.

Glad to hear no one was hurt and that everything/everyone is OK.
