4 speed or auto? 2 dr 4 dr? bench or buckets. Theres a lot of factors here. If its a driver with bench seat and shift on the column and a 2dr maybe 5000. There really isnt enough info to say. If its clean, 2 dr, buckets, 4 speed, nice wheels, runs and stops ok. If its a decent driver like that could be 6500 to 7000.

Wants an offer unseen? $117.46 including tax title and tag. A stupid request gets a stupid response. Plain and simple. Never make a serious offer before seeing a car. That's just my .04cents. (inflation thanks BO). Good luck. Don't let passion drive your purchase.

If it's a Chevelle Malibu with a big block then its not all original. The Malibu was the base option with various small blocks available but has to step up to a SS to get the big block.
None the less a cool car.
If its a 2 door car with little rust i'd say 5000-8000 depending on condition and options.

I am not going to offer him anything until I see it. I just wanted some opinions before I go look at it.

my neighbor bought a 72 malibu with no interior, no front fenders grill or bumpers, part of a non original 396, the vinyl top being cut off, hole in the floor when someone put a 4 speed in it, dented quarters and other various body parts...paid 2700. I say you can take these chevelles and shove them!

I think I can probably steal this thing from the guy. He is hard up for cash and just doesnt want the car anymore. We will see next week.

Had to step up to SS to get the 454 BBC, but the 396(402) could be had in lessor model trims.

Well I ended up getting the car for $500.. It needs a trunk pan, quarters, fenders and an interior kit. But it is all original (except rims) and runs. It has the chevy 350 in it.

yeah but in 40 plus years no one will get a v6 mustang, unless the are a moron like my neighbor, missing half the car for 2700 so to each there own... no car is worth that much money missing nearly half of it's original equpiment unless it's something really rare.

Love it. Great buy as well. $500 and a chance to spend time with your father redoing it? PRICELESS!!!
