Ok so i need/want drg slicks didnt know whrre to post and researched for a few hours and as always wanted the always awesome sbz advice for my final answer.
First i decided on slicks over dr because i read with the wrinkle they are not a hard on the drive train and id rather have street and track tires. ? Sound right?
Second i hav 4.10 and a manual on my 95 so i wanted a 28 tall tire for when i spray later this year.
Third i have found 28 x10.5 x 15 use slicks that ay 50% left. Good idea or buy new? Will i need inner tubes ? Thats where i get lost. Ha ha.
I read somewhere about certain rim size can make a stiffer sidewall whih is good for manuals? What would be a good size rim i know i can prob find that but while in rome.

10" rim I use used slicks as do a lot of others with no tubes. I would run 26" tall there are people running a higher gear on 26" in the 10's with a 5 speed. Here in a month there will be all kinds of good used 26x8.5x15 for sale

I agree with you Adam, i plan on running 26s with either 4.10 or 4.30

I trap 127 on 26" and still not on the limiter you should be fine. 28 would slow you down.

What people have said is correct on tire height. I would have a 4.56 gear minimum with running a 28" tall tire.
Be careful with used tires. Age is just as bad as wear. They could have 75% usuage left on them but if they were stored in an outside shed for over a year then they would be garbage.
