Tried both the other day, im not sure what they cost.
The macaroni was pretty good, I would have never thought Wendys would sell mac n cheese. The cheese was pretty thick and they didnt taste like "fast food" macaroni, i was impressed.
The chilli cheese fries... sucked imo. Ive been told they used to sell them, and I can see why they stopped. I was hoping it would be thick cheese and a meaty chilli, instead it was soggy/shitty fries, lack of cheese and a portion of chilli poured over everything :(

Try the new chicken sandwich with guac on it . So tasty
Wendy's chili pretty much sucks ass. I can see people liking it if they come from a place that doesn't have decent chili (i.e. Columbus), but why would you bother if you can go to Skyline or Gold Star?
Gold Star's chili cheese fries kick ass, btw.

I like Wendy's Chili by itself but when I saw the chili cheese fries I really wasn't sure if that would work. It just has the wrong flavors. the mac & cheese is pretty good though. I just wish they gave you a little more for the price. Oh yeah and their fries still suck ass.
Facemelter & I went to Wendy's today, he got the Chili Fries & Mac & Cheese,
I got the Sweet Potato, it was very good w/ the brown sugar sauce!

Some of the best chili cheese fries i've ever had were from the cafeteria in Meijer in Eastgate, but that was years ago. White Castle's weren't bad either.

If Wendy's would cook their friea as long as they do at Long John Silvers they would be ok.
Yes, the both use the same fries now, as distributed SYGMA.

I understand the majority of the board is from Ohio, and likes "Cincinnati Style Chili", but I can't handle that stuff. Wendy's Chili is closer to what I'm used to having as "chili" but it's still not good.
Wendy's fries are disgusting, so are LJS/A&W's.
The fact that there is a place called "Dixie Chili" that serves "Cincinnati Style Chili" down right bothers me.

Oh man. My Mom used to make "venison stew", kinda like a really herb-y beef stew, only with deer. Man, I'm going to have to try some chili with it.

I wish my parent's could make chili. The stuff they make is basically hamburger-vegetable soup. I make better chili, but that's not saying much.

28 oz of beans and 28 oz of tomatoes for every pound of meat.

Chili Powder and other seasoning to your liking. Small can of Chipotles in adobo sauce, finely chopped is all the heat I need.
You will be sweating :)

I used rope sausage as well, it was 75% off as it was going out of date

I use:
2-14OZ cans beans
2-14OZ cans crushed tomatos
2 lbs ground beef
1-14OZ can beef stock
Bunch of flavor powders, onion, chili, cayenne, garlic, brown sugar, and black pepper. Tastes terrible the first day, just like spicy hamburger soup. However, let that stuff chill overnight, get hammered and reheat it, and it's fair, lol.

Lol, I just call it like it is man. In all fairness it's pretty decent chili. I've had better, I've had worse. It really is a LOT better the second day though.
Best way to eat it is with some grilled cheese. Dip the sandwich in the chili. I can't think of a better meal.

I prefer PB sandwiches for the dipping.
My 2009 batch was too hot due to acid reflux. I eat one spoonful without taking a tagamet. I'm in trouble. The 2012 batch had NO hot peppers so I'm blending the two batches to keep the reflux down, sucks to get old!
I used to order Wild and Blazin wings from BDubs, now it is sweet BBQ with a side of Mango Habenero to mix my own heta level. I tried the Hot BBQ and MH, still too much for my gut. I love the heat but not three hours on the seat!

Best cheese fries: Chili Time in St Bernard. Especially if dipped in Big Time sauce.
I like Dixie Chili.
