I got a guy that has a nice looking ford pumpkin for sale. He says its a trac loc and a 8.8
I got the numbers off the tag, but can't seem to find out what they mean, here they are as on the tag
S509B
2L73 88 2C19
Anyone help me out here? What is it?
Thanks for any help, in advance.

Thanks but, how do you know it's a 2.73 and a 8.8? Just curious.
Thanks. :)

The L stands for Trac-Loc and the other numbers are build date and assembly code.
S509B-Assembly code
2L73 88-2.73 Trac Loc 8.8
2C19-Build date

Thank you, I have no idea how to read the code #'s.
Is there a book I can buy to correlate the tag #'s?
Would like to get my hands on one.
Thanks again.
