We had all talked about getting together . I have to pick up my daughter around 8 in lynchburg , but am willing to meet up if anybody is getting together.

I just left work and there was a lot of cars there, and a few bad ass cars running down the road. I can't wait to go see this now.

We had a guy that said he drove from (Denver Colorado). He said the friction material on the break pads on his motor home fell about 3/4 of the way here and couldnt find the parts in stock so he drove it that way. He stopped here at napa and we ended up selling him new rotors, calipers, bearings, races, seals, grease, and break fluid. He changed all of this in the side parking lot!

We also had a guy in a healthy sounding 50's chevy stop in and said he went through tech and said they had a new rule where you had to have a inertia switch for the fuel pump ( which his car didnt have) so he was trying to find one. Out of all the part stores in Wilmington he couldnt find one. He was talking to a friend of his and he said to get one for a foxbody mustang. No one had one but then i remembered i happen to have a extra one in the trunk of my coupe from trouble shooting a while back so i gave it to him, so if anyone sees a black and white 50's chevy 2 door running it has a FORD part on it! LOL!

Guys, please support the local shops and restaurants, even if it costs a little more, Wilmington needs the help.

They have a nice piece of tarmac MANY racers from all walks would love to use.

I hope to be up Saturday to watch and maybe drum up some business :)

Amen to that. Make sure that Wilmington sees that having racers using the airpark is a good thing for the local economy.

Holy crap that was cool. Even with the rain and the cold, it was awesome. All the people that I talked to up there were cool as hell, especially the vintage bike guys.

I'm definitely going up again tomorrow to watch...and now I have more than enough motivation to finish my CB350 for the next event.

I was talking to a couple of the officials, and they said that today cars were limited to below 200mph because it was the first day of the new track.

A couple of guys did blow through 200 though...one of the Studebakers ran 213mph...first member of the 200mph at the Ohio Mile.

Tomorrow they'll be running full out.

Yup seen that car ran 145 i think...beautiful car feel in love with it instantly.

Yes he was having some issues it blew the belt off of it and said he was breaking up a little not sure if it was cause the alt belt was off or not . The car has been 163 at Maxton when it had stock suspension . He has built the whole car and has had many changes . He has to be the fastest and most skilled Rn in town .

Had to go unlock an 05 gt out there today , tried to catch a couple of passes but we had an accident to get to. From what i seen it was a pretty cool event and it was packed today. Cant wait for the next one.
